Role overview The Quality Assurance Engineer is based onsite in Jacksonville, FL and reports to the Quality Manager. This role supports quality initiatives and ISO 9001 standards across the manufacturing site. The position focuses on strengthening product and process quality while working closely with other departments. Main responsibilities Monitor, collect, and analyze process and quality metrics, comparing results to established objectives. Prepare technical reports for management that summarize quality levels, highlight issues, and outline the cost of quality. Drive improvements in manufacturability, assembly, testability, cost efficiency, and quality for both in-house and purchased components, as well as finished products. Evaluate product performance and quality using data collection and statistical reporting. Implement PFMEA and support new programs, including tooling and manufacturing processes, to identify and reduce risks. Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer and industry requirements. Identify and specify training needs related to quality standards and workmanship. Provide technical expertise on statistics, Six Sigma methods, tools, and best practices. Document and implement manufacturing and assembly processes and quality procedures in collaboration with other teams. Lead corrective action efforts, both internally and externally. Apply knowledge of SolidWorks as needed. Maintain and report departmental KPIs. Guide problem-solving activities within the production team and with suppliers. Promote standard work and best practices throughout operations. Work location This position is fully onsite at the Jacksonville, Florida manufacturing facility.
