Are you an experienced automotive professional with a passion for customer satisfaction and team leadership? We are seeking a dedicated Aftersales Manager to join our prestigious vehicle main dealership in Ipswich, Suffolk. This is a full-time, permanent position where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our aftersales services and driving business growth.
In this key management role, you will ensure the efficient operation of the department, motivate and train staff, and continuously improve processes and systems. Your goal will be to enhance customer relationships, increase efficiency, and exceed our financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain regular communication with existing customers to ensure service levels are met and issues are promptly resolved.
* Develop and support the sales function to identify and act on business opportunities quickly.
* Monitor competitor activities and market trends to maximize business generation opportunities.
* Negotiate charge-out rates to ensure profitability.
* Foster a culture of recognizing additional business opportunities among staff through regular briefings and incentive programs.
* Review claims status daily with the Warranty Controller.
* Address local customer issues with operational staff to improve cash flow and assist with overdue collections.
* Recruit, train, and develop staff as necessary.
* Maintain strong relationships with franchise organizations by meeting dealer standards and complying with procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in service management within the automotive sector and a desire to excel in their field. You should possess excellent influencing skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to nurture client relationships.
Main Dealer Service Management experience is essential for this role.
