You will support operations in Indianapolis, IN, and Huntington Beach, CA, with occasional domestic travel of up to 10%.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess engineering project scope, specifications, and design criteria while fostering a proactive Process Safety Management (PSM) culture at our sites.Implement comprehensive process safety management strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, reviewing the effectiveness of process hazard assessments, and supporting Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and other safety modeling activities.Conduct scenario reviews and risk engineering to support the design and implementation of PSM projects, including loss prevention initiatives and leading recommendations from PHAs.Lead and facilitate PHAs and participate in training to become a PHA facilitator.Engage in root cause analyses and implement process changes/control plans to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Utilize the APSM Management of Change (MOC) process to manage organizational changes and coordinate APSM Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) as required for site support.
