Role Overview: Data Center Project Manager – White Space Fit Out
This Illinois-based role focuses on managing the construction and fit-out of data center white space. The Project Manager leads the build process for both electrical and mechanical distribution, ensuring compute, storage, and network infrastructure are delivered according to design and client expectations.
Daily on-site presence is required. The Project Manager works closely with construction trades and subcontractors, taking responsibility for schedule management and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full fit-out of data center white space, including layout design and installation of overhead support systems for cable and electrical pathways.
- Manage power striping and redundancy planning from PDUs to cabinet receptacles.
- Coordinate conduit pathways and low-voltage structured cable infrastructure.
- Lead on-site construction activities, collaborating with trades and subcontractors.
- Maintain project schedules and enforce quality control standards in the field.
- Interpret design intent and ensure project delivery meets customer expectations.
