Position Overview:
The Red Team Data Analyst role plays a critical part in enhancing the security measures of our supply chain risk management program. Analysts will delve into the offensive aspects of supply chain risks by pinpointing vulnerabilities, mapping adversary dependencies, assessing geopolitical risks, and discovering potential failure points before they can be exploited. This team of four will collaborate closely under the guidance of the PingWind Director of Operations & Implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct supply chain vulnerability assessments for designated programs and weapon systems.
- Map adversary supply chains to identify indicators of foreign ownership, control, and influence (FOCI).
- Create detailed threat assessment reports outlining vulnerabilities, severity levels, and potential exploitation pathways.
- Design and implement scenario-based stress tests for events that could disrupt the supply chain.
- Model scenarios for supplier capacity loss and forecast impacts on project timelines and readiness.
- Perform in-depth research on long-lead components, sole-source parts, and critical materials.
- Identify risks associated with obsolescence, dwindling manufacturing sources, and counterfeit products.
- Analyze geopolitical risks for supply chain entities involved in assigned programs.
- Maintain an organized Red Team vulnerability pipeline with prioritization, status tracking, and handoff procedures to the Blue Team for remediation.
- Contribute to regular Red Team reports, control tower briefings, and annual vulnerability summaries.
- Document research methods and maintain source attribution records and evidence packages.
- Assist in transition documentation and knowledge transfer activities.
