Role overview
The Customer Service Advisor acts as the primary contact for customers visiting the dealership. This position guides guests through their maintenance and repair appointments, aiming for clear communication and a positive experience throughout the process. Main responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a friendly and professional way upon arrival.
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately record issues on Repair Orders (ROs).
- Advise on required services and maintenance using manufacturer guidelines and vehicle history.
- Offer clear estimates for costs and timing of service work.
- Keep customers informed on repair progress and any additional recommendations.
- Coordinate with technicians, the parts department, and the service manager to complete repairs efficiently.
- Follow all warranty and manufacturer procedures.
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds and help arrange loaner vehicles or shuttle service as needed.
- Reach out after service visits to confirm satisfaction and encourage feedback through surveys.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a customer-facing role.
- Background as a Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager (ASM), or similar position in an automotive dealership or reputable independent shop.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
- Genuine interest in automotive care and customer service.
