You will receive hands-on training with our specialized Stage 3 equipment. The role involves working on a rotation of 12-hour shifts over a 14 days on, 7 days off schedule at various project sites. This is a safety-sensitive position.Note: Although we are hiring for our Calgary office, our technicians operate across Canada in remote locations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Availability for a 14 days on and 7 days off rotation (specific schedules will vary by job site).Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including overtime.Capable of working a swing rotation from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM or 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with job shadowing alongside experienced technicians and field leaders.Willingness to travel domestically to remote locations throughout Canada.Assignment to various projects as required.Training in rigging up and down equipment.Operation of various solids control equipment, including shaker tanks, centrifuges, drying equipment, and pumps.Development of basic knowledge of Environmental Services.Understanding of basic electrical principles.Familiarity with drilling fluid properties including fluid weight, funnel viscosity, retort analysis, and performing fluid analysis.Learning to provide various solids control services such as air drilling, barite recovery, de-watering, fluid transfers, and cuttings drying/invert recovery.Routine maintenance services and basic electrical services on various equipment.Safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery under supervision (this is a safety-sensitive position).Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
