Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have:A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of protection and control systems, with a proven track record in cost estimating and preparation of bidding documents specific to electrical transmission and distribution substations. A Professional Engineer (PE) license from a U. S. state is preferred, though not mandatory. Demonstrated success in designing Protection and Control Systems. Familiarity with IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards relevant to substation design. Experience with telecommunications, protective relaying, and SCADA automation. An interest in low voltage coordination and arc flash studies is advantageous.
