We are excited to announce an opening for an Associate Director of Security within our esteemed Security and Technology Engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity to significantly influence the trajectory of future construction projects in key cities across Europe and beyond.
The AECOM Security & Technology Engineering team is a niche group within the Building Engineering division, delivering specialized Security and Technology design and support services that enhance the overall design capabilities of our building engineering teams.
Our Buildings Engineering team comprises approximately 400 engineers engaged in large-scale construction initiatives, focusing on specialized projects across London and globally. We operate in various sectors, including major commercial construction and fit-out projects, large mixed-use developments, critical national infrastructure, and many more.
Your Responsibilities
As the Associate Director, you will oversee high-level technical and strategic security engineering services for new builds and fit-out projects, encompassing all RIBA stages, including:
- Conducting risk assessments, formulating mitigation strategies, and drafting operational requirements.
- Leading master planning initiatives for projects, from city-level strategies to mixed-use developments.
- Designing comprehensive physical security solutions, including electronic locking systems, barriers, walling, glazing, doors, and fencing.
- Creating electronic security designs for video surveillance, access control, intruder detection, and intercom systems.
- Providing counter-terrorism guidance, including Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), bomb blast, and ballistic considerations in collaboration with specialists.
