You will address CNC troubleshooting, collect data, deploy new processes, and offer daily support on the shop floor to ensure safe and efficient machining operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Daily CNC Production SupportDeliver first-response troubleshooting for machining issues, including offsets, probe errors, and tooling adjustments.Support the development of standardized work, setup sheets, and work instructions.Assist in implementing engineering changes, process improvements, and new fixtures.Tooling, Fixtures, and EquipmentAssemble, modify, and maintain tooling, fixtures, gauges, and probes.Monitor tool life and consumable usage while supporting tooling inventory control.Construct prototype fixtures and aids based on prints, CAD models, or engineering direction.Participate in equipment installations, prove-outs, testing, and reliability enhancements.CNC Process SupportGather machining data related to spindle utilization, cycle time, tool wear, and scrap rates.Contribute to SMED, 5S, TPM, and other Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.Conduct basic capability checks and statistical process control measurements.Continuous ImprovementEngage in root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve processes.Assist in minimizing downtime, scrap, and variability in machining processes.New Product SupportSupport prototype builds and trial runs.Provide feedback on manufacturability and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) or engineering change notices (ECNs).Assist with operator training on new setups, fixtures, or machines.
