Role overview
The Lead Technical Artist will join the team in Dublin, Ireland, supporting art teams across the globe. This position centers on materials, rendering performance, and artist pipelines. Acting as a bridge between art and engineering, the Lead Technical Artist ensures artists have the tools and workflows needed to deliver high-quality visuals and maintain real-time performance on multiple platforms.
This role leads a distributed group of Technical Artists and works closely with rendering engineers and art directors. The Lead Technical Artist helps define the technical direction for visual style and production efficiency.
Main responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Technical Artists, providing guidance, feedback, and support for their professional growth.
- Work with rendering engineers to create scalable, high-performance shader solutions for PC, console, mobile, and cloud platforms.
- Establish material standards and produce documentation to support effective collaboration across teams.
