As the primary technical contact for on-site systems, you will handle all IT-related inquiries. The ideal candidate will be a versatile problem solver who thrives on learning new technologies and responding to inquiries swiftly and professionally. This position is perfect for those seeking to advance beyond desktop support. You will report directly to the Desktop Support Manager in Shanghai and work collaboratively to implement best practices in IT solutions while ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained.Key Responsibilities- Maintain the regular operation of the company’s internal client systems.- Resolve hardware issues related to client devices, networks, telephone lines, printers, etc.- Support and maintain internal client application systems.- Promptly respond to client requests and requirements.- Distribute, install, and troubleshoot client batch software.- Manage site cabling and coordinate with external suppliers as necessary.- Set up and manage security systems, computer room infrastructure, air conditioning, and environmental monitoring.- Provide remote IT services to employees located in the Middle East while based in Dubai.- Assist with various ad hoc projects as assigned.- Work 2-3 days per week on designated days.Key Qualifications and ExperienceEssential:- Maintain an inventory of IT assets.- A degree at HNC/HND/Ordinary/Bachelor’s level in a computer-related discipline or equivalent experience.- Proven experience in delivering high-volume, fast-paced desktop support.- Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting; CCNA certification is a plus.- Familiarity with security systems and environmental monitoring, with a willingness to learn new technologies in these areas.- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.).- Knowledge of configuration management and routine maintenance.
