Join our dynamic multidisciplinary clinical team at GluCare Health as a Part-Time Urologist Consultant. This role primarily involves the assessment, diagnosis, and management of urological conditions linked to metabolic health, diabetes, and men's health, including the provision of low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-SWT) when clinically appropriate.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with endocrinologists, cardiologists, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Conduct outpatient urology consultations, assessments, and follow-ups.
- Diagnose and manage urological conditions, including:
- a) Erectile dysfunction
- b) Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS)
- c) Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- d) Male fertility and hormonal-related urological issues
- Administer and oversee low-intensity shockwave therapy (Li-SWT) for erectile dysfunction and other approved indications, adhering to clinical guidelines and GluCare protocols.
- Create tailored treatment plans based on patients’ metabolic and overall health profiles.
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic investigations within the DHA scope of practice.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Engage with endocrinologists, cardiologists, and allied health professionals to foster coordinated, patient-focused care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning.
- Contribute to integrated care pathways for patients with diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
- Quality, Compliance & Documentation:
- Maintain precise and timely medical records within GluCare’s EMR system.
- Ensure adherence to DHA regulations, clinical governance standards, and GluCare policies.
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and ethical practice standards.
- Patient Experience & Education:
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care with a strong emphasis on education and shared decision-making.
- Inform patients about lifestyle factors, metabolic health, and treatment alternatives related to urological conditions.
