Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and guide our dedicated service staff, ensuring that every guest receives impeccable service and satisfaction at all times.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the service team to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
Uphold service standards and operational excellence consistently.
Arrive punctually, greet colleagues, and report to your supervisor at the start of your shift.
Maintain a well-groomed appearance and display enthusiasm in all interactions.
Prepare for a productive day by utilizing time effectively and contributing positively to the team.
Follow payroll and uniform procedures accurately.
Enhance departmental standards and implement best practices.
Provide guests with an enjoyable and expertly served beverage and dining experience.
Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service.
Serve and clear food and beverages professionally and discreetly.
Familiarize yourself with beverage service protocols, including glassware and garnishes.
Complete assigned opening and closing side work, ensuring all tables are set to standards.
Utilize the hotel's computer system for sales transactions and check processing.
Manage trays, bus tables, and reset them with appropriate linens, china, glassware, and silverware.
Change ashtrays, serve cigarettes, and offer additional beverages and cigars as needed.
Ensure guest satisfaction and address any issues, communicating with management as necessary.
Assist with the needs of private dining rooms and functions.
Immediately report any accidents or guest complaints to management.
Recognize and address any disruptive or undesirable guest behavior.
Respond appropriately to hotel emergencies and safety situations.
Assist in moving tables and chairs as needed.
Break down buffets, displays, or side stations when required.
Maintain cleanliness in service areas as necessary.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by hotel management.
Retrieve and stock all necessary linen, china, silverware, glassware, and food and beverage items.
Deliver unobtrusive and professional service at all times.
Serve dishes to guests, explaining contents and preparation methods.
Provide water, bread, and butter service throughout the meal.
Offer coffee or tea and serve per Palazzo Versace standards.
Report for duty five minutes before the scheduled start, ensuring a clean and tidy appearance and wearing the correct uniform.
Safely manage the carrying and breaking down of trays.
Ensure all setups and mise en place are prepared for upcoming events.
Keep all areas, stores, and back areas clean and organized.
Clear tables and reset them for the designated number of guests.
