As a Classroom Teacher at The HEI Early Learning Centre, your primary mission is to ensure the safety and educational development of every child in your care. You will follow the operational guidelines of HEI and adopt a pedagogical approach focused on early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deliver engaging learning activities aligned with the HEI curriculum.
- Execute lesson plans that meet HEI curriculum objectives and adhere to developmentally appropriate practices.
- Prepare the classroom environment to foster learning experiences.
- Provide diverse learning materials and guide students in their utilization.
- Monitor and assess student performance, generating reports as required by HEI standards.
- Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and conferences.
- Encourage positive student behavior by establishing clear and age-appropriate rules.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy classroom environment.
- Document incidents and manage health-related issues as necessary.
- Participate actively in staff training, meetings, and school events.
- Provide constructive feedback and keep administration, colleagues, and parents informed.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding student information.
- Oversee classroom inventory and ensure records are up-to-date, with annual audits in August, December, and June.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance and classroom documentation.
- Showcase student work and maintain learning portfolios to reflect the children’s educational journey.
- Utilize the approved Parent Application for tracking and communication purposes.
- Comply with all Centre policies.
Centre Operations:
- Assist the Nursery Principal and administration with daily operations when required.
Staff Management:
- Conduct performance evaluations for Teaching Assistants.
- Assess and offer coaching to Teaching Assistants as needed.
- Facilitate the training of Teaching Assistants where applicable.
Curriculum Development:
- Attend franchisee training as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Nursery Principal and peers to enhance the educational offerings and improve children's learning processes.
- Support Teaching Assistants in effectively implementing the curriculum and provide necessary resources and training.
Financial Management:
- Oversee classroom expenses and implement cost-effective strategies.
