Join a premier restaurant group in Dubai, renowned for its award-winning culinary experiences! We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis II to be part of our expanding team as we open new outlets.
The Commis II will work closely with the Executive Chef and report directly through the Sous Chef/CDP/DCDP, contributing to the kitchen’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold high standards of work as directed by the Executive Chef.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food with a focus on quality and presentation, under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Manage stock movements and ensure proper ordering within your section.
- Assist in achieving food cost targets and kitchen standards.
- Conduct daily and weekly kitchen procedures, including temperature checks and food labeling.
- Ensure a safe kitchen environment by addressing hazards and reporting issues.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and a clean uniform.
- Follow company procedures regarding food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene at all times.
- Support with the acceptance and storage of deliveries according to company protocols.
- Be punctual and report directly to the kitchen manager upon arrival.
- Understand menu planning and stock management to support kitchen profitability.
- Familiarize yourself with kitchen opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in your section and assist with hygiene tasks as requested by senior chefs.
- Be knowledgeable about hygiene controls and workplace chemicals.
- Actively participate in self-development while liaising with the Executive Head Chef.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Comply with reasonable requests from superiors.
- Support other sections and assist with duties during peak times or emergencies.
