Key Responsibilities:
Provide guests with a delightful beverage and dining experience during all banquet events.
Anticipate guests' needs and provide proactive service before requests are made.
Serve and clear food and beverage items in a professional and unobtrusive manner.
Familiarize yourself with various beverage services, including the appropriate stemware and garnishes.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks, ensuring all tables are set according to established standards.
Utilize the hotel's computer system for processing sales, printing checks, and reconciling transactions.
Carry trays, bus tables, and reset dining areas with proper linens, china, glassware, and silverware.
Change ashtrays, serve cigarettes, crumb tables, and offer additional beverages and cigars as needed.
Gauge guest satisfaction and address any issues, promptly informing a manager of any problems and resolutions.
Meet all requirements for private dining rooms and functions, ensuring top-tier service.
Report any accidents or guest complaints to a manager immediately, regardless of severity.
Recognize and manage potentially disruptive or undesirable guests discreetly.
Respond appropriately to any hotel emergencies or safety situations.
Assist in moving tables and chairs as necessary.
Break down buffets, displays, or side stations when required.
Maintain a clean service area as needed.
Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management.
Ensure effective planning of equipment, linen, and related inventories.
Serve dishes to guests while explaining contents and preparation methods.
Provide water, bread, and butter service throughout the meal to guests.
