Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead teams on projects of varying scales and complexity. You should possess excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal and external clients. The ideal candidate will be organized, capable of working independently or as part of a collaborative team, and adept at identifying and addressing challenges.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and pride in your work
- Design structural solutions for various project types, adjusting for size and delivery method
- Make impactful design recommendations within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Organize design tasks and schedules, delegating responsibilities to junior staff
- Coordinate proactively with other disciplines including architectural, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and technology
- Maintain clear, accurate project documentation and design data
- Mentor junior staff, reviewing their work to ensure quality
- Occasionally liaise with clients, preparing proposals and presentations to foster strong relationships
- Assist in quality control checks on other projects
- Exhibit thorough knowledge of design techniques and principles for producing technical plans
- Utilize 3D structural analysis software effectively
