Aviation Project Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Aviation Project Engineer to join our team. You will have the opportunity to work on various complex projects for local airport agencies and private clients. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of relevant experience and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Location
This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility to work from any of our 45 Benesch locations, including Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, and multiple locations throughout Nebraska and Kansas. Remote work options are also available.
The Impact You Will Have
- Design responsibilities for key elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities.
- Oversee project design calculation files while ensuring thorough quality control reviews.
- Manage the compilation and coordination of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
- Coordinate and review drafting for the assembly of plan sets.
- Develop and supervise task work plans for assigned team members.
- Foster active communication within the team.
- Organize technical meetings among design staff.
- Conduct occasional field construction observations, which may require out-of-town travel.
- Engage actively in professional organizations.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation project engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
