Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Conduct experiments to select welding parameters (voltage, wire speed, travel speed) for new customer applications. Collaborate with robotics engineers to establish procedures for workpiece and end-effector movements to automate trajectory generation. Execute robotic welding experiments to evaluate other developmental systems, including sensors, inspection systems, path planning strategies, and new hardware. Coordinate with our hardware team to fabricate test coupons for application feasibility testing and other in-house experiments. Willingness to travel 30%-50% of the time, engaging directly with customers. Operate a cutting-edge AI-driven robotic welding cell. Perform manual welding on coupons and test parts as needed. Utilize powered shop tools for cutting and etching weld samples. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing robotic welding procedures within an industrial setting. Proficient with industrial robotics platforms such as Yaskawa, ABB, Kuka, or Fanuc. Experience in fusion-based weld parameter development for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Skilled in manual welding techniques including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, and SMAW. Understanding of weld symbology and print interpretation.
