As a Field Service Technician (FST), you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful rollout of our life-saving products. You will assist our services team with product demonstrations and installations, as well as conduct maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on existing field units.
Success in the Role: Key Performance Outcomes for Your First Year
In your first 30 days, you will:
- Commence technical training on Evolv Express products, tools, equipment, and software to prepare for fieldwork.
- Shadow an experienced field service engineer to observe best practices and familiarize yourself with job responsibilities.
- Initiate relationships with customers, understanding their needs and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Begin performing basic field service tasks including installation, maintenance, and repairs, while documenting your work accurately.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss projects, share insights, and receive constructive feedback from supervisors.
- Learn to navigate the company's internal processes, including inventory management, invoicing, and scheduling.
Within three months, you will:
- Take proactive steps to ensure success for yourself, Evolv, and your customers.
- Establish strong interpersonal connections with colleagues in sales, customer success, and other departments.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of Evolv products.
- Build rapport with clients and leave a lasting, positive impression.
- Independently resolve 2-5 technical issues.
- Show enthusiasm for taking on additional responsibilities as you progress.
- Complete all necessary administrative duties such as handling expenses and work orders.
By the end of your first year, you will:
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of the Evolv Express system and software.
- Lead 2-4 special event support activities at key locations, such as sports stadiums, enhancing your experience and visibility.
