As a 4th Grade Math Teacher at KIPP Columbus, your role will be pivotal in shaping the minds of young learners. Your key responsibilities will include:
Instructional Excellence & Content Mastery
- Design, internalize, and deliver high-quality, challenging, and engaging lesson plans utilizing curriculum resources to cater to the diverse needs of all students.
- Analyze student performance data individually and collaboratively with department or grade-level teams to strategize re-teaching and follow-up lessons.
- Create personalized learning plans for students and effectively communicate these strategies to families during parent meetings and conferences.
- Work alongside content and grade-level teams to foster a culture of critical thinking and academic rigor.
Student Engagement & Classroom Environment
- Establish a classroom culture that empowers students, validates their identities, and cultivates a sense of belonging for everyone.
- Implement school-wide and classroom management policies and practices effectively.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for parents and families.
