We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 4th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for the 2026-27 academic year at KIPP Columbus. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the educational experiences of our students through innovative teaching and a strong commitment to their success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, internalize, and deliver engaging lesson plans that challenge and inspire students, utilizing our provided curriculum resources to address the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Analyze student performance data both individually and collaboratively with grade-level teams to inform re-teaching strategies and subsequent lessons.
- Create personalized learning plans for students and effectively communicate these plans during parent conferences and meetings.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a culture of critical thinking and academic excellence.
Classroom Environment & Student Support
- Establish a classroom culture that empowers students, celebrates their identities, and fosters a sense of belonging for all.
- Implement and uphold school-wide and classroom management policies and practices.
- Create an inclusive and responsive environment for families and community stakeholders.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with students and their families.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and team collaborations.
- Engage in daily school activities, including morning and lunch supervision duties.
- Embrace feedback in a spirit of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities including timely completion of assignments and adherence to deadlines.
