Our Structures Discipline is dedicated to providing top-notch structural engineering services, focusing on innovative design, repair, rehabilitation of existing structures, and comprehensive investigation and performance evaluations. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or work independently as a Senior Engineer, overseeing a team of structural engineers, designers, and draftspersons to produce precise structural construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications for projects ranging from minor renovations to large-scale, complex constructions.
- Provide vital construction phase services, including reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), and conducting site visits to ensure completed work aligns with project specifications.
- Conduct assessments and forensic or feasibility studies for existing structures that require enhancements, are being considered for purchase, or have sustained damage.
- Collaborate closely with clients to create cost-effective structural system designs, offering concept options and evaluating the pros and cons to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Engage with other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Develop efficient structural system designs while performing essential calculations and coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
- Manage project budgets effectively, including tracking hours and resources.
- Mentor Structural Designers and Junior Engineers through review of calculations and documentation.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- 8 to 15 years of experience in a consulting engineering environment.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Active Tennessee State Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Experience with Revit is an advantage.
- Extensive project history utilizing computer analysis software is essential.
