This rewarding position offers a competitive pay rate of $16 per hour, with a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.As a Reimbursement Counselor, your key responsibilities will include handling various reimbursement tasks such as accurate and prompt claim submissions, monitoring claim statuses, engaging in collection activities, managing appeals, posting payments, and processing refunds until all accounts receivable issues are effectively resolved.You will also be responsible for collecting and reviewing patient insurance benefit information as authorized by the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the program. Additionally, you will assist physician office staff and patients in completing and submitting necessary insurance forms and program applications. Timely processing of all required insurance forms and electronic claims to third-party payors is essential.Furthermore, you will investigate and resolve any electronic claim denials, as well as any issues related to claim denials or underpayment of claims.

The Counselor will report any reimbursement trends or delays to their supervisor, which may include issues like billing denials, pricing errors, or payment discrepancies.Confidentiality regarding patient account statuses and the financial matters of the clinic or corporation is paramount. The Reimbursement Counselor must communicate accurately with payors and/or claims clearinghouses to ensure timely electronic claim submissions and must coordinate with various departments to obtain relevant medical records as needed.
