Reporting Structure
The intern will report directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate and Technical Reporting.
Role Summary
Palmetto is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and inquisitive student to join our Accounting team for a summer internship. This internship aims to provide invaluable hands-on experience while supporting authentic business initiatives in a dynamic, mission-driven setting.
The intern will gain exposure to corporate accounting and financial reporting processes, contributing to significant work aligned with team priorities during a pivotal quarterly closing period. This role is designed to offer practical development while delivering measurable business value through participation in month-end close support, balance sheet reconciliations, and the preparation of reports.
Throughout the internship, the intern will assist with accounting workflows related to solar asset tranche activity, EPC payment structures, and accounts receivable reporting, while gaining insights into financial operations within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will support the Accounting team through project-based work and ongoing closing activities. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with month-end financial close processes.
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of financial reports.
- Contributing to solar asset accounting workflows.
- Engaging with EPC payment structures and accounts receivable.
