Overview:Join our team as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician at our cutting-edge turkey processing facility in Camden, SC. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational efficiency of our electrical and mechanical equipment. We are looking for a dedicated individual eager to expand their knowledge and take on responsibilities across multiple crafts in both electrical and mechanical domains. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and primarily operates on a Monday to Friday night shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, with the flexibility to adjust to early/late shifts, overtime, and weekend work as necessary.Key Responsibilities:Utilize your expertise in facility equipment and processes to monitor, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and minor electrical failures, aiming to minimize downtime and enhance production yield.Conduct mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on scheduled downtime to ensure optimal performance.Apply your knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), AC/DC circuits, motors, pumps, rotating equipment, and piping systems to resolve operational issues.Collaborate with operational teams for equipment setup and teardown before and after shifts.Assist sanitation teams during overnight operations for effective cleaning and sanitizing of equipment.Adhere to all state and federal regulations and codes, fostering a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.Support your coworkers in repairs and actively share your knowledge and skills.Work independently with minimal supervision, proactively identifying areas for improvement.Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.Qualifications:Education: Minimum of a GED; an Associate's degree in a relevant field or mechanical/electrical certification is preferred but not mandatory.Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a related field.Skills and Attributes:Proficient understanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical systems.Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations is a plus.Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.Self-motivated team player with strong initiative, communication, and interpersonal skills.Adept problem-solver and quick technical learner.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs; occasionally 50 lbs.Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stooping for up to 10 hours per shift.Able to work at heights of 6 feet or more.Comfortable working in various temperature conditions, from 35 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.Exposure to low and high voltage equipment and conveyor systems.Benefits:Comprehensive Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental, and Vision)Retirement Plan (401k)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Leave, and Public Holidays)
