Join Lila Sciences as a Product Strategy Intern within our Chemistry team and play a pivotal role in the commercialization of AI-powered innovations across various chemistry sectors, including industrial, specialty chemicals, and life sciences. Collaborate closely with Product and Commercial leaders to shape market strategies, assess business opportunities, and assist in go-to-market initiatives. This opportunity is perfect for a technical MBA student who is passionate about translating advanced chemistry into impactful commercial solutions.
Your Contributions
- Assist in the development of product and go-to-market strategies for chemistry platforms in industrial, specialty chemical, and life science applications (e.g., catalysts, coatings, functional additives, specialized formulations, biomolecules, therapeutics), while adapting to business needs across sectors.
- Conduct thorough market research and opportunity evaluations to guide product roadmap prioritization and commercial strategy decisions.
- Prepare strategic documents, including presentation decks, one-pagers, and frameworks (e.g., Target Product Profiles) that effectively communicate technical capabilities and customer value.
- Establish and maintain organized databases and information systems to aid in product pipeline management and strategic decision-making.
- Extract insights from customer discovery interviews and expert discussions to refine chemistry product strategies, positioning, and priorities.
Qualifications for Success
- Currently enrolled in an MBA, Ph. D., or a comparable graduate program.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to distill complex information.
- Proficient in crafting presentations with a keen eye for visual clarity.
- Adaptable and comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Quick learner with a strong grasp of scientific concepts in chemistry, capable of communicating them effectively to commercial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in chemistry, organic small molecules, or related physical/life sciences.
- Experience in market research, strategy consulting, or product management within technical fields.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Notion, or similar tools.
- Understanding of chemistry applications in industrial and life science sectors (e.g., specialty chemicals, formulations, catalysis, therapeutics).
- Previous experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, advanced materials, or deep tech environments.
