THE ROLE Pioneering Intelligence represents a strategic initiative of Flagship Pioneering, dedicated to positioning our organization at the forefront of global innovation through the fusion of human, machine, and nature’s intelligence – a concept we refer to as Polyintelligence. We are currently on the lookout for a Principal Product Manager to collaborate across various disciplines including UX design, AI research, engineering, legal, communications, marketing, and scientific research teams, as well as venture creation units, to address the most significant challenges in AI within the life sciences sector. We are establishing a state-of-the-art digital infrastructure that integrates computational science, AI/ML technologies, knowledge engineering, data platforms, and workflow automation. These capabilities are essential in supporting Flagship’s distinctive approach to exploring uncharted territories and translating scientific insights into transformative enterprises. The Principal Product Manager, Agentic AI will be a key individual contributor responsible for owning a specific product area from conception to execution, translating intricate user and scientific requirements into a coherent strategy, quantifiable outcomes, and widely adopted solutions aligned with our business objectives. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will closely partner with scientists and business stakeholders to drive impactful innovations from agentic systems that redefine workflows and business capabilities within a dynamic startup environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. Define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and drive measurable outcomes. Lead discovery processes with scientists, synthesize insights, and develop wireframes. Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and alignment among machine learning, engineering, and scientific stakeholders. Drive product adoption, including spearheading user enablement initiatives.
