The Role
We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Workers to offer consistent care and practical assistance to children and young people. This dynamic role demands adaptability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and enhancing the wellbeing of our young clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships
- Support daily routines, promote independence, and facilitate life skills development
- Assist with educational needs, appointments, and recreational activities
- Prepare nutritious meals and encourage healthy living
- Advocate for the emotional and practical needs of young people
- Transport young people to appointments and activities (use of own vehicle required)
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and emotional resilience
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, sleep-ins, and waking nights
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Commitment to undergoing an enhanced DBS check
A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care) is highly desirable but not mandatory. Comprehensive training will be provided.
