About the Role:
As a Quality Control Associate, you will adopt a proactive approach in upholding our stringent product quality control standards and monitoring food safety protocols. Reporting directly to the FSQA Supervisor, your contributions will be vital in ensuring that our customers enjoy safe and delicious meals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify compliance of products with regulatory standards by ensuring proper product labeling and CCP adherence.
- Conduct thorough quality control inspections on raw ingredients, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for any food safety concerns on the production lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address product non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
- Lead production associates in effective ingredient sorting operations.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and proper allergen management according to established procedures.
- Receive inbound inventory SKUs from the Warehouse department and perform quality control checks to confirm compliance with required specifications.
- Carry out sampling of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
- Maintain accurate records and reports (e.g., CCP & PCP records, line verification records).
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) acts and regulations.
- Utilize personal protective equipment and safety attire as directed, and promptly report any workplace hazards to the supervisor.
- Conduct environmental monitoring to assess sanitation effectiveness and verify equipment calibration (e.g., calibrating thermometers and other relevant QC tools).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
