This position plans, organizes, and completes maintenance tasks while meeting all safety rules and company policies. Main responsibilities Check that production equipment and automation systems meet safety, food safety, and regulatory standards. Schedule and perform preventive and predictive maintenance for facility infrastructure (such as racking, dock doors, and waste management) and production equipment (including conveyors, automation, case sealers, and material handling equipment) using job plans and manuals. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and other maintenance issues, set priorities, and define work scopes as needed. Manage repairs and upkeep for distribution center racking, walkies, power trucks, and dock doors to keep operations running smoothly. Track maintenance activities and work orders using tools like CMMS and Google Sheets. Train new hires and Maintenance Associates on machine operation and advanced maintenance tasks according to the training plan. Carry out machine calibration and run-to-failure maintenance tasks. Inspect the facility regularly for safety compliance, including fire extinguishers, exits, and emergency lighting, and complete repairs as needed. Work with external contractors to define maintenance and reliability needs, troubleshoot equipment, and manage spare parts inventory. Support upgrades, replacements, overhauls, and installation projects. Maintain accurate records of department inventory, including spare parts, tools, and hardware. Keep maintenance logs current to support quality standards. Follow OH&S acts and regulations, use personal protective equipment as required, and report workplace hazards to supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned.
