Join our team at SGS as a Marine Laboratory Inspector specializing in minerals. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of mineral samples in our laboratory, conducting inspections, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. You will collaborate with a dedicated team, contributing to our mission of providing reliable inspection and certification services.

In this crucial role, the Inspection Auxiliary will engage in essential activities related to the sampling, inspection, preparation, and supervision of various minerals and fertilizers, including coal, coke, diverse fertilizers, copper ore, metallic concentrates, carbonates, and granules.- Responsible for controlling the weighing of vehicles on port scales, sampling vehicles in coal yards, preparing samples of coal and fertilizers, overseeing vehicles in the yard, sampling at client MVs for coal, fertilizers, and other minerals, and inspecting seals.- Ensure the direct execution of services requested by clients related to inspection, sampling, and sample preparation in accordance with internal standards and procedures.- Collaborate with the Coordinator to gather all useful information regarding the operations executed, ensuring adherence to international standards applicable to the tasks performed.- Familiarize yourself thoroughly with assigned tasks to execute them efficiently.- Deliver samples to the laboratory in a timely manner with proper identification.- Provide timely reports on quantities to the laboratory coordinator.Responsibilities:- Continuously implement policies, objectives, plans, programs, procedures, regulations, and directives related to quality, health, safety, and environmental systems applicable to the role.- Actively participate in OI activities and comply with established competencies for the position, particularly in critical tasks when applicable.Functions:- Immediately report any workplace or environmental accidents and incidents to the direct supervisor, participating in investigations and corrective actions.- Knowledge and consistent implementation of the quality management system policies, accreditation requirements, health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to the role.- Manage and report complaints, appeals, non-conformities, or any discrepancies encountered during work duties.- Report unsafe acts and conditions to the immediate supervisor.- Engage actively in Health, Safety, and Environmental activities to prevent risks and environmental impacts.- Participate in training and education activities.- Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment, reporting their status.
