The Seasonal Club Receptionist at Dumbo House acts as the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff. This position centers on creating a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave. Receptionists greet visitors, manage incoming calls, and handle reservations for both club and dining spaces. Strong organizational skills and a friendly, attentive manner help set the tone for each visit.
Responsibilities also include preparing tables for bookings, ensuring all expected covers are ready, and occasionally assisting in training new team members according to Soho House service standards. Consistent attention to detail and mastery of phone systems are essential in this role.
Main responsibilities
- Welcome members and guests by name whenever possible, providing a warm and professional greeting.
- Manage high-volume phone lines, answering questions about menus, hours, amenities, and reservations with clarity and confidence.
- Create and coordinate reservations for club and dining venues, supporting Food & Beverage Managers in maintaining service standards.
- Maintain a friendly, accurate, and discreet approach in every interaction.
- Collaborate with the reception team to deliver excellent service and communicate effectively to manage expectations.
- Build rapport with members and guests, sharing both feedback and concerns with management.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere through approachable professionalism.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers.
