As a Receptionist at Soho Works, you will play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests at our Brooklyn location. You will be the first point of contact, guiding visitors through the space, managing the reception desk, and ensuring a smooth experience by handling basic computer and AV tasks, as well as Guest List responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the property and surrounding neighborhood, contributing to a “home away from home” experience. We are looking for a friendly, professional individual with exceptional phone etiquette and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet every member by name (if local) and provide a warm welcome to guests, offering a comprehensive overview of site offerings and resources.
- Manage high-volume phone inquiries and perform office services such as courier bookings, printing, and postage, ensuring a clear understanding of all related procedures and costs.
- Provide information regarding catering menus, hours of operation, and amenity availability and pricing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe reception area, including the coffee station and AV/IT closet.
- Execute Guest List duties, addressing immediate guest concerns and setting actionable items as needed.
- Foster relationships with members and guests, relaying important feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Enhance the overall atmosphere by being approachable and professional, while overseeing daily receptionist tasks and delegating as necessary.
- Assist with event and meeting room bookings upon request.
- Become fully trained in all operational software used at the location.
- Support food setup for breakfast, lunch, and events as required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
