What to Expect
As a Process Development Engineer in our Battery Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be instrumental in shaping our measurement and inspection strategies throughout the battery manufacturing line.
You will ensure that each component and assembly meets the stringent standards necessary for flight, enhancing quality, reliability, and compliance from the initial concept through to production. This is a unique opportunity to influence the metrology and inspection protocols for a groundbreaking technology in electric aviation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage assembly process requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure tooling, equipment, processes, and assemblies meet specifications.
Conduct Process Capability studies utilizing statistical modeling to identify and implement improvements within production processes.
Lead the transition of new production techniques from laboratory settings to the battery pilot line.
Identify, select, and oversee the commissioning of cutting-edge adhesive dispensing and surface preparation processes, guiding them from concept to certification.
Work closely with industrialization partners to select production equipment and conduct in-line inspections.
Provide ongoing production support and continuous process enhancements for novel prototype and certification battery manufacturing, ensuring adherence to quality and certification standards.
Your Qualifications
Solid background in high-volume final assembly and lean manufacturing principles, with relevant experience in new product introduction (NPI).
Proven expertise with adhesive dispensing technologies and related processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation.
