Job OverviewAs a QA/QC Aircraft Inspector at Western Aircraft, you will be responsible for conducting in-progress and final inspections on various aircraft undergoing assembly, repair, or alteration. Your primary role includes ensuring that all maintenance activities align with FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual (RSM), and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance manuals, which are crucial for approving articles for Return to Service (RTS). This will involve detailed physical inspections and thorough paperwork reviews.Work ScheduleMonday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM (minimum of 40 hours per week).Sign-On BonusWe offer a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000, along with a relocation incentive based on your experience.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct visual inspections to assess quality and workmanship.Monitor compliance with the Western Safety Manual in the service department.Ensure services are performed in accordance with the RSM and FAA regulations.Adhere to Western Aircraft’s Policies and Procedures.Make informed decisions regarding airworthiness.Evaluate part approvals and determine the nature of repairs or alterations.Ensure adherence to Certificated 135 Operator’s AAIP or CAMP programs during maintenance.Utilize properly calibrated tooling to establish airworthiness.Communicate effectively with leads and assigned Service Managers about work orders.Uphold the quality of maintenance performed to ensure the aircraft, airframe, engine, propeller, or appliance is at least equal to its original or properly altered condition.Exercise RTS Authority.Occasionally perform technician duties as required.Qualifications & RequirementsA minimum of five (5) years of experience in general aviation maintenance is required.Airframe & Powerplant Certifications are mandatory.Previous experience as a QA/QC Aircraft Inspector is preferred.Familiarity with Gulfstream, Dassault Falcon, King Air, Cessna, Piper, and Pilatus aircraft is an advantage.In-depth knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.Additional RequirementsSuccessful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.Ability to obtain an Airport Issued security badge.Work Environment & Physical DemandsWork primarily takes place in an aircraft hangar with moderate noise levels and indoor environmental conditions that provide some protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature variations.
