BIM Engineer – Civil 3D

Your role will involve ensuring technical quality assurance and facilitating effective communication regarding any changes or modifications based on client feedback.You will proactively engage with various regional offices and teams to address safe design requirements, flagging risks at appropriate levels while fostering strong relationships with project colleagues. Your expertise will be key in reviewing work and cultivating a culture of accountability within the team, including performing interdisciplinary checks.This position requires you to liaise with design professionals and the BIM Manager, adhering to project schedules and QA/QC requirements. Collaboration with other design disciplines will be crucial to maintaining the integrity of the overall project design, as well as mitigating design challenges.You will also be involved in managing Health & Safety design aspects for project works, leveraging Civil 3D software and tools to coordinate design documentation. Following the organization’s Civil 3D content standards and development procedures, you will perform daily tasks independently while troubleshooting issues related to Civil 3D.As a team player, you will receive guidance from team members while contributing to structured work assignments, progressively expanding the complexity of tasks. It is essential to follow standard operating procedures to solve routine problems and identify issues in existing procedures. Strong communication and writing skills are necessary for this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesCraft intricate 3D models for underground utility infrastructures utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D. Model both wet and dry utilities, including storm drainage, sanitary sewers, water distribution, gas, and telecommunications.Create plan, profile, and cross-section drawings essential for construction and regulatory approvals. Conduct clash detection and address conflicts using tools such as Navisworks.Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure precise representation of existing and proposed conditions. Uphold model integrity to reflect accurate as-built conditions.Engage in multi-user environments via cloud platforms (ACC, ProjectWise).Adapt object styles, label styles, pipe network styles, and configure part lists according to specific project needs. Aid in data management through shortcuts and drawing references.
