Role overview The Vehicle Delivery Specialist serves as Clutch’s first in-person representative for customers in Bedford, Nova Scotia. This full-time position centers on delivering purchased vehicles to customers and ensuring each handoff is smooth and memorable. Evening and weekend shifts are part of the schedule. What you will do Deliver vehicles directly to customers’ homes, making each handoff a positive experience. Operate a single-car hauler safely (no commercial driver’s license required; training is provided). Load and unload vehicles efficiently, checking the hauler for maintenance and safety before every trip. Maintain a clean driving record and always follow safe driving practices. Handle customer paperwork with care and document each transaction accurately.

About Our Opportunity:As an End of Life Vehicle (ELV) Operative, you will play a crucial role in the safe and compliant handling and processing of end-of-life vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service and efficiently managing stock levels.Your Responsibilities:Complete training in all aspects of ELV operations, including obtaining an FLT license, using small tools, and vehicle depollution.Welcome customers at the ELV drop-off area and conduct thorough inspections of vehicles.Assess vehicles for necessary depollution and verify completeness to provide accurate pricing.Document the removal of parts from each vehicle using a mobile device.Store removed commodities correctly, including:Batteries in designated battery boxesWheels stacked on pallets and wrapped once fullCatalytic converters with barcode stickers in secure storageRegularly weigh batteries, wheels, and catalytic converters as sales are dispatched.Meet daily targets for the number of vehicles depolluted.Conduct accurate valuations of catalytic converters with provided training.Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure the ELV facility and surrounding areas are clean and organized.Contribute actively to depot safety by being a safety leader on-site.Identify, report, and address hazards, challenge unsafe behaviors, and ensure adherence to all EMR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).About You:Previous experience in vehicle depollution or metal recycling is preferred but not mandatory.FLT experience is an advantage.Ability to utilize a handheld tablet for recording information.Experience as a car mechanic is beneficial.Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, fostering an environment based on trust and respect.Capable of effectively assessing and processing information.Experience working in a dynamic environment where priorities may shift, requiring flexibility.Who We Are:European Metal Recycling is a global leader in sustainable materials with operations across the UK, USA, Germany, and the Netherlands.
