We seek a licensed engineer driven by complex challenges, technical leadership, and the chance to mentor emerging talent.Position OverviewWe are in search of a highly skilled Senior Environmental Engineer (PE) to spearhead environmental investigation and remediation projects while providing unparalleled technical expertise. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentorship and eager to engage in significant brownfield remediation and redevelopment efforts.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership:Lead and manage Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), and USEPA Brownfield projects, including Site Characterizations, Remedial Investigations, Alternatives Analyses, and Remedial Design.Formulate and enhance engineering controls, automation, and system performance monitoring programs for both new and existing remedial systems.Direct design and feasibility evaluations for various remedial technologies including:Excavation/off-site disposalIn-situ chemical oxidation/reductionThermal remediationSub-slab depressurization systemsPFAS treatment systemsSupervise field programs encompassing soil, groundwater, soil vapor, and surface water sampling.Evaluate and present field and laboratory data; prepare and review comprehensive technical reports.Assist with litigation and serve as an expert witness as needed.Experience with Title V air permits and state facility permits is a plus but not mandatory.Team Development:Mentor junior engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.Client Service & Business Development:Draft proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and project budgets.Establish and maintain robust relationships with regulatory agencies.Represent LaBella Associates in a professional manner aligned with our core values.Build and nurture strong client relationships across both private and public sectors.
