Role Overview Ditto is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) team, focusing on public sector clients. This is a customer-facing leadership role that blends technical depth with enterprise project delivery. The FDE team works closely with key customers, tackling integration challenges, building proof-of-concepts, supporting adoption, and channeling customer needs back to Ditto’s product and engineering groups. The manager will mentor engineers and act as a technical partner, helping Ditto deliver strong results in complex public sector environments. What You Will Do Lead, develop, and retain a team of Forward Deployed Engineers supporting enterprise and public sector customers. Set high standards for technical quality and customer engagement within the FDE team. Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to align engineering efforts with strategic account goals. Provide hands-on technical guidance on Ditto integrations, edge deployments, and architecture, including air-gapped, disconnected, and classified environments. Oversee project delivery: define scopes, manage workloads, remove blockers, and help clients achieve their objectives. Lead recruitment, onboarding, and career growth for FDE team members. Develop scalable processes, playbooks, and tools to improve team efficiency as the customer base grows. Champion the technical needs of public sector customers within Ditto. Location Remote.
