Position Summary
A dynamic and results-driven Project Manager will lead project teams with effective leadership and management skills. In this role, you will oversee contract documents, evaluate subcontractor performance, ensure vendor compliance, manage budgets and costs, uphold safety standards, maintain profitability, and adhere to project schedules. The primary goal for a Project Manager at IE2 Construction is to consistently exceed customer expectations, fostering strong relationships that pave the way for future business opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective progress.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of projects to schedule deliverables and estimate costs accurately.
- Build and maintain constructive communication with all project stakeholders.
- Establish and coordinate the overall project schedule.
- Lead effective project meetings to facilitate collaboration.
- Enhance project profitability while maintaining project integrity.
- Issue and oversee contracts with owners and subcontractors.
- Possess a solid understanding of accounting principles relevant to construction finances.
- Familiarize with various construction contract types and necessary documentation such as RFI’s, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders.
- Implement effective project financial controls.
- Conduct project buyouts and negotiate terms of agreements while securing necessary permits and licenses.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate project risks.
- Support business development by nurturing positive customer relationships.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of commercial construction management, including building materials, safety regulations, and local/state building codes.
- Proven ability to perform essential project management duties effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction through various channels.
- Proficient in utilizing technology and software for project management and construction accounting.
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- At least six (6) years of relevant experience in construction, architecture, or construction engineering, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Above-average analytical skills for interpreting schedules and developing statistical reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and motivate project stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
