Luminis Health seeks a Surgical Technologist for its Annapolis, MD location. This role supports the operating room team by delivering direct patient care and preparing for a range of surgical procedures. The position centers on safe patient care, strict adherence to surgical asepsis, and careful preparation for each case.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile environment and follow all operating room protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Transport patients and specialty equipment safely, following established safety guidelines.
- Provide care during the intra-operative phase, using physician preference cards and adapting to patient and environmental needs.
- Serve as the first scrub on a variety of cases, including general/GYN, ENT, plastics, basic/minor ortho/neuro, dental/ortho, urology/cysto, and basic vascular procedures. Handle and sterilize surgical instruments correctly.
- Independently perform essential surgical technologist tasks: open surgical supplies, assist with gowning and gloving, position patients, and clean between cases and during terminal cleaning of the OR and surgical suite.

Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent.
- Completion of at least 125 surgical procedures in the first scrub role.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association as a HealthCare Provider.
