This team strives to build productive relationships between the executive and legislative branches, assisting in the development and advancement of the Administration’s agenda through State law and budgetary processes.The Challenges You’ll Address:As a Senior Advisor, reporting directly to the Director of City Legislative Affairs, you will be responsible for:- Acting as a liaison between State officials, Administration representatives, and relevant Mayoral agencies to manage projects and create strategic outreach initiatives to elected officials and advocates aligned with Mayoral objectives.- Collaborating with agencies, boards, commissions, organizations, and institutions to achieve Administration goals and policy initiatives, ensuring project deadlines are met, and reviewing interagency work products.- Providing administrative support and coordination, which includes drafting correspondence and briefing documents, conducting background research, and preparing information for the Director.- Investigating local, state, and federal laws, court rulings, and other legal documents while working with the NYC Law Department to assess legal implications for various policy needs.About You:- You thrive in both independent and fast-paced environments, excel in collaborative team settings, and are eager to contribute to a culture of learning.- You are a proactive self-starter, willing to engage in a wide range of tasks in a dynamic organization.- You possess the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to senior staff within City Hall.- You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.- You exhibit exceptional written, oral communication, and presentation skills.- Previous experience working with relevant agencies is a significant advantage.Special Assistant (MA)-MGRL - 0668A
