Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or related fields; candidates with 5-10 years of experience will be considered for higher compensation. In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and equipment operation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and project specifications. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Possession of a valid driver’s license; certification in heavy equipment operation is advantageous. Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform demanding tasks as required.

In this vital role, you will handle various types of heavy machinery to facilitate the successful execution of our construction and environmental initiatives. A strong commitment to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to collaborate effectively within a team are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery such as backhoes, loaders, excavators, and dump trucks across diverse project applications.
  • Perform pre-operation inspections to guarantee that all equipment is safe and operational.
  • Excavate, grade, and level ground in preparation for construction using industry-standard techniques.
  • Effectively communicate with the ground crew using hand signals and radios to ensure safe operations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Assist with various tasks as assigned by the site supervisor to support project completion.
  • Demonstrate heavy construction experience and proficiency in site excavation.
