About the Role

Orchard is seeking a skilled Escrow Officer to lead the closing process, ensuring an outstanding experience for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive real estate expertise, particularly in closing transactions for 1-4 family residential purchases. If you thrive in high-pressure environments with tight deadlines and have a keen eye for detail, this position is perfect for you. This role is full-time, reporting to the National Escrow Manager, and will be conducted remotely from Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Draft closing disclosures, escrow agreements, and all associated settlement documents in accordance with lender and buyer/seller directives.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments, including Customer Experience, Sales, and Funding, to swiftly address any issues that may arise during the Title process to prevent delays.
  • Ensure clear title by ordering title reports, rectifying title defects, and settling existing liens and encumbrances.
  • Conduct thorough audits of all files to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and compliance, thereby averting potential claims.
  • Facilitate closings through e-notary or mobile notary services.
  • Provide precise lender closing instructions and oversee the receipt and appropriate disbursement of funds, ensuring all outstanding checks and escrowed funds are managed efficiently.
  • Adhere to Orchard Title policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
