Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, finance, or a related discipline.4 to 6 years of experience trading financial instruments such as options and futures. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and mathematical skills. Familiarity with Python is advantageous. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. A demonstrated strong work ethic and a commitment to contributing to the success of the trading desk.

Eagle Seven is actively searching for a seasoned Energy Trader to engage in trading energy futures and swap markets on ICE and CME platforms. This pivotal role involves overseeing all facets of the trading desk operations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience within proprietary trading, demonstrate a robust enthusiasm for capital markets, and thrive in a collaborative team environment as a proactive self-starter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage grey and black box algorithmic trading strategies aligned with the desk's objectives.
  • Continuously monitor trading activities and positions throughout the trading shift.
  • Conduct research and perform post-trade analysis utilizing the firm's research tools to enhance the profitability of current algorithmic models.
  • Collaborate with back-office teams to resolve trade discrepancies and reconcile positions and activities.
  • Prepare end-of-day profit and loss (PnL) and position reports.
  • Engage with exchanges, risk management, and internal technology teams regarding any production issues.
  • Work closely with strategy developers to communicate and suggest specific code modifications concerning execution, pricing, and risk management.
