About the Position
We are in search of a talented Executive Sourcer who possesses remarkable research skills, strategic insight, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. In this role, you will gain a deep understanding of leadership positions, identify world-class talent, and influence the initial stages of executive recruitment.
You will work in close partnership with Executive Recruiters and senior leaders to clarify expectations, align on ideal candidate profiles, and develop diverse, high-quality talent pipelines for some of OpenAI’s most crucial business searches.
As an Executive Sourcer, your contribution will be vital in shaping top-of-funnel strategies, facilitating proactive outreach, conducting market analysis, and providing talent intelligence for our most impactful non-technical leadership roles.
Your Responsibilities
- Direct research, market analysis, and top-of-funnel strategies for non-technical executive searches across various functions (e.g., Finance, Legal, Operations, People, Policy, Communications, GTM).
- Build and present diverse, high-quality talent pipelines, proactively identifying exceptional leaders through extensive market research, outreach initiatives, and ongoing relationship building.
- Collaborate with Executive Recruiters and hiring leaders to refine role specifications, ideal candidate profiles, and search methodologies.
- Engage candidates thoughtfully in their first touchpoints, establishing trust, gauging interest, and articulating OpenAI’s mission and opportunities clearly.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on talent markets, competitive landscapes, compensation trends, and organizational structures.
- Establish and nurture evergreen talent networks to meet ongoing or evolving leadership requirements.
- Analyze market signals and insights to help refine search direction, scope, and sequencing.
- Handle highly confidential searches with exceptional discretion, judgment, and operational rigor.
