Desired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience estimating mid-sized and larger glazing projects based on architectural drawings and specifications. Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and understanding architectural drawings and specifications, with the ability to provide detailed take-offs and estimates incorporating various building envelope solutions. Experience with electronic estimating tools, including estimating software, on-screen take-off tools, and Excel spreadsheets. Knowledge of aluminum glazing systems and their applications. Familiarity with glass, composite metal panels, and other relevant materials.

Role overview

The Estimator II, based in Phoenix, AZ, works with US Aluminum product lines such as storefronts, entrances, window walls, curtain walls, and hurricane/blast-resistant solutions. This position is part of the Estimating Department and supports career growth within an established industry leader.

What you will do

  • Prepare accurate estimates for customers using architectural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, or elevation take-offs.
  • Follow up on estimates and share insights on market pricing trends.
  • Consult and coordinate with customers, sales teams, and internal staff.
  • Keep detailed and organized records of bid documents, correspondence, and project information.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, work safely, and follow all safety protocols.
