Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:Assemble, install, and rigorously test high-pressure fluid systems, including oxygen and refrigerants, alongside flight hardware. Operate test stands and execute protocols to validate pressure, temperature, flow rates, and leak integrity. Assist in Thermal Vacuum, EMI, and Vibration testing. Connect instrumentation, valves, and sensors as per engineering schematics, ensuring system health and functionality. Conduct pneumatic, cryogenic, and hazardous fluid handling and testing with a strong commitment to safety practices. Read and interpret engineering drawings and detailed work instructions accurately. Utilize precision tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers, as well as general mechanical tools independently. Employ data acquisition systems to monitor and assess sensor readings effectively. Identify, report, and assist in troubleshooting any anomalies or test failures. Support and conduct test campaigns for development, qualification, acceptance, and investigations. Maintain clean, leak-free ground support fluid systems following industry standards.

We are currently seeking a Thermal Controls Systems Technician II to join our team, reporting directly to the Manager of Thermal Test Engineering. This role is essential in supporting the design and development of systems necessary for constructing artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in our Long Beach, California facility.
